Hull Damage Large Hole

Here you can see just how much damage can be caused from a hard impact that caused some de-lamination. Further use after the impact caused a large section to peal off leaving what you see here. Consequently the ski did not sink, mostly because it was dry docked, however before noticing the damage I am told it was used several times. Most late model waverunners have double hulls but that doesn’t always keep from water intrusion.

To repair this ski I was fortunate to have its twin brother as well so I could make a mold from the area in question, that helps but it’s not always necessary, just the path I chose to get the best repair possible. You will also see how this hull was filled with foam, not a good or bad thing but just how the manufacturer choose to make it. But as always we stride to repair it and put it back like OEM.
