1995 Star Craft 1710 Tree Damage

This is a basic, general repair for me, a tree fell on this 1995 Star Craft boat causing several spots that needed some fiberglass and finish work. The concept for repairs is about the same across the board for these types of repairs. First you must cut out the damaged areas and grind the surfaces in preparation for the new fiberglass. Then, layer the area up with new chopped strained mat and resin building it up to the desired height. Then, the area must be shaped with sandpaper and the finished off with a filler putty to fill the high and low spots. After the putty is sanded the area is primed and painted. Sounds easy? Well, for me it’s what I do.
