2003 Sea Pro CC bait well

Sometimes our boats are just not set up the way we want them to be. In this case there just wasn’t enough room for a much needed larger bait well. My customer had the idea to cut the front of the console off and put the new bait well there. He proposed the idea to me and asked if I would be interested. I like interesting projects and I took on the job.

I first need to plan out the project from start to finish, after all you can’t really undo a cut here and redo it over there. Once the front of the console was cut away it was fairly wobbly but I had planned on a piece of plywood to go in its place. This gave it the structural integrity it needed. Then came the hatch for the batteries and the plumbing and electrical hook ups for the new bait well.
